and Staff
Our doctors and staff are dedicated to providing you and your family with
quality care, service and eyecare products. Most of our patients are
referred by other patients, which is a great compliment. If we ever fail
to provide you with the service you deserve, please let us know so we can fix
it. If our service extends beyond your expectations, tell friend so that
they may experience the same care that you have.

Dr. Leah
M. Ramos
Dr. Leah Ramos is a native of Chesapeake, VA. She attended Norfolk Academy
and the University of Virginia prior to receiving her doctorate degree from the
Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia.
Following graduation from Optometry
school, Dr. Ramos took a position at the renowned Vision and Conceptual
Development Center in Washington, DC. There she diagnosed and treated
children and adults with developmental delays, such as ADD, ADHD, autism and
sensory integration dysfunction. She also performed visual rehabilitation
on stroke patients and those suffering from traumatic brain injury.
Being an athlete herself, Dr. Ramos
was invited to use her knowledge of vision at the National Football League
(NFL) combines in Indianapolis, IN in 2001 where she worked with
professional athletes and potential recruits, evaluating their visual
performance and eye coordination skills.
Dr. Ramos stays active in her
community and is a member of the Great Bridge Rotary Club. She was
awarded "Top 40 Under 40" in 2004. She is a
member of St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church. Dr. Ramos also stays
physically active and completed three "Rock and Roll" half marathons. She is
married to Dr. Michael Swatts and they reside in Chesapeake with their daughter
and three dogs.

Dr.
Michael S. Swatts
Dr. Swatts grew up in Princeton, WV and attended West Virginia University prior
to receiving his doctorate degree from the Pennsylvania College of
Optometry.
Following graduation from Optometry
school, Dr. Swatts worked at the Vision and Conceptual
Development Center in Washington, DC. There he concentrated on sports
vision, working with both the National Football league (NFL) as well as
traveling to England to perform vision testing on professional soccer
teams.
Dr. Swatts joined Lifetime EyeCare in 2007 after working at a large
ophthalmology practice and surgery center in Virginia Beach since 2003. He
continues to provide services there on a part time basis as well.
Dr. Swatts has a special interest in anterior segment disease and specialty
contact lens fitting to treat corneal disease and degenerations. He also
provides pediatric aphakic treatment.
He is
married to Dr. Leah Ramos and they reside in Chesapeake with their daughter
and three dogs. Dr. Swatts stays active by biking, running and
triathlon.

History
Lifetime EyeCare Center was founded in 2003 by Dr. Leah Ramos. Lifetime
has been awarded "Best of Chesapeake" (best EyeCare Center) every year
since opening our doors.

through exceptional service and a personal commitment to each of our patients.
We endeavor to inspire confidence through patient education, staff
education and by remaining at the technological forefront of our profession.
We, the dedicated staff and doctors of Lifetime EyeCare Center, pledge

Future Goals
Lifetime will begin construction on our new
building, which will include other allied health professions, in early 2008. The site is less than a quarter mile away from our current location,
still on Cedar Road. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive health site
which may include; Primary Care Physicians, Dentists, Ophthalmology, Dermatology
as well as other health professions.
